Rossiter Wins Local Award

SWINDON boss Alun Rossiter paid tribute to his 2017 title-winning side after being named the Manager/Coach of the Year at the Wiltshire Sports Awards on Friday night.

Rossiter led the Robins to the SGB Premiership title in dramatic fashion in October and has now earned well-deserved local recognition.
He was presented with the award, which was sponsored by Swindon's Bus Company, by former World Snooker Champion Dennis Taylor - and a delighted Rossiter says his triumphant riders deserve plenty of the credit.
Said Rossiter: "It's nice to be recognised, but realistically I give most of the credit to the boys as they were the ones who did the business on track.
"They were written off by some at the start of the season but they gave it their all, and every single rider who wore that Robins race jacket did us proud last year.
"I'm honoured to have won it, and the fact we've been recognised as a club is credit to the work they all put in to win the league in the way they did at Wolverhampton and throughout the season."
