"The grounds are pretty hard and that always brings into play possible injuries," said Wiveliscombe's chairman Peter Stone tonight (July 7)..
"At the moment we've not been able to get out and work on our two pitches.
"We will be playing Minehead in a midweek game, but we're wondering whether to arrange another.
"We also find it very difficult to field strong sides at this time of the year."
Meanwhile, the Somerset One club's players report back for pre-season training tomorrow.
They will be holding twice weekly training sessions at Plain Pond (7.00).
The club will also be holding its annual meeting on Friday week when members will endorse the election of flanker Ollie Burrows as the new first team skipper (7.30). |
