Sue Walsh triumphs at Taunton Vale

SUE Walsh was the winner In Division One of the Ladies Section Stableford Number 4 on Wednesday but only after countback put her ahead of second placed Shirley Gooding after both scored 40 points. Alison Harman was third with 39 points.

Pat Snelling headed Division Two with 39 points, three clear of second placed Margaret Blackaller, while Joan Hockey was third with 34 (b9). Stevie Foster was the winner of Medal Number 9 after returning with a round of 71, three ahead of her closest rivals who both returned with 74, however after countback it was Sarah Payne who was second and Diane Gough third.
