Dan Dearden takes the honours in June medal at Taunton Vale

 

Dan Dearden with 64 was the winner in Division One of Saturday’s Medal round at Taunton Vale Golf Club, five ahead of second placed Jake Webber-Cadby, with Mike Bright third with 72.

In the second division it was Rob Berry who took the honours with a round of 65, two ahead of former Club Captain John Paterson while Jim Lindsay was third with 68. Lee Ward won Division Three with 64, Ali Wyatt was second with 67 one ahead of third placed Ian Dawe who returned with 68. Barrie Glenton teamed up with Rick Pearce and Chris Pratt to win the Fathers day Cup on Sunday with a score of 75, three ahead of the Keitch team- club professional Martin and his two sons Dan and James who returned to the clubhouse with 72. Pete Lang, Alan Bowey and Howard Oliver took third spot on Sunday with 71. Division One of the May Running Stableford was won by Wayne Davey with 43 points, Mike Edwards was second with 40, Jon West third on 39, while Terry Hodge edged into fourth place on countback with 38 There was a three way tie on 41 points at the top of Division Two but after countback it was Alan Jubb who was first, Jake Southward was second and Bill Rooney was third, with Steve Dacosta fourth with 40 (b9). Mike Saffin won Divison Three with 41 points, three ahead of Jon Winter with 38. Edward Winter was third with 37, on countback from John Winter who also claimed fourth spot.
