In front of a packed crowd Northants were restricted to 112 for 6 from their 20 overs, thanks to a good all round fielding performance which included miserly biowling spells from spin twins Murali Kartik and Arul Suppiah and three run outs. In reply the hosts coasted to victory thatnks to 33 off 24 balls from opener Craig Kieswetter, 30 off 24 from Pete Trego which included two huge 6s and unbeaten contributions from James Hildreth (25) and Zander de Bruyn who was not out 15.
