CLASSY FILLIES TO
ATTEND WINCANTON’S LADIES DAY
Tuesday, April 27th sees Wincanton Racecourse host
Ladies Day - one of the biggest social occasions in the
Somerset
calendar.
Ladies Day concept was re-launched in 2008 and has developed into
a highly fashionable meeting. This year, there will be
plenty of entertainment for all female racegoers with the
competitive Best Dressed Ladies and Best Hat competitions taking
place during the afternoon, judged by former Grand National
winning jockey, Bob Champion. The fashion competitions are
open to all racegoers and will take place in Winners Enclosure.
The SOLD OUT Kingwell Restaurant will allow girls to pamper and
spoil themselves with a Perri Ashby fashion show followed by a
scrumptious two-course luncheon and afternoon tea. And, with
hospitality selling fast, the proactive racecourse, has created an
exclusive group offer for ‘last-minute ladies’ (minimum 10) with
Private Box Hospitality available at £49.50 per head offering a
2-course lunch with panoramic venues of the track.
Steven Clarke, Managing Director of Wincanton Racecourse,
commented, “Ladies Day is growing year on year, with plenty of
action both on and off the course for racegoers to enjoy.
We’re delighted that racing legend, Bob Champion, will be
on-course as part of his heroic 10,000 mile journey – we wish him
luck. Our next and final fixture of the season is the hugely
popular Thursday, May 6th evening meeting where
Ultimate Madness, the number one Madness Tribute Band, will be
playing live after racing. Our advance booking deals offer
outstanding value for money and the event promises to be an
incredibly fun to round off 2010 in style.”
